Airport Oslo (Gardermoen) in a nutshell

The airport of Oslo is located 50 kilometres to the north of the Norwegian capital. It is a very modern airport (opened in 1998) and it is the most important airport of Norway.

Six times per hour there is a high-speed train connection to the centre of Oslo. There is also a special bus to, among other places, the centre of the city.

Within walking distance of the airport there is a hotel. In addition, there are two shuttle buses to two hotels nearby. The airport has the largest duty-free shop in Europe. Because Norway is not a member of the EU, all travelers are allowed to buy duty-free products. These services are also available to incoming travelers. There are many other shops and there are a large number of restaurants, cafés, (snack) bars and fast-food chains. At the service desk in the Arrival hall there are fax, telephone and copying facilities. Extensive business facilities are available in the nearby hotel. Everywhere in the terminal there are exchange offices and cash machines. Wireless Internet is available. In the Departure hall there is a travel agency. The First Aid station can be called via the service desk. The airport is very accessible to disabled people.
