Portela Airport in a nutshell
The airport of Lisbon is located seven kilometres to the north-east of the Portuguese capital. It was opened on October 15, 1942. After the Second World War it soon needed to expand. In 2006, it appears that the airport once more is becoming too small, due to the rapid growth of passengers and freight. At the moment there are plans to build a new airport. A final decision has, however, not yet been made.
The airport is easy to reach by car, and there are enough taxis at the airport to get the passengers to their final destination. In addition, there are also bus connections.

There is a reasonable choice of shops and restaurants, and in various locations there are soda, chocolate and candy machines. Also, the airport has a First Aid station, expensive showers, ATM machines and money exchange offices.

Most reservations will receive confirmation within minutes after payment takes place. We recommend contacting our Booking Department for last minute reservations (pick-up within 48 hours).
