Car hire Lisbon Station - Gare do Oriente

General information

Santa Apolónia is Lisbon Central Station, and is therefore situated in the center of this Portuguese city in the district of Alfama. Santa Apolónia Train Station was inaugurated on May 1, 1865 which makes it Lisbon's oldest station. Gare do Oriente (Orient Station) is another major station which is located somewhat outside town on the Expo grounds; national and international high-speed trains leave from here. In addition, Lisbon has some smaller train stations.

Transportation

Do you want to explore Lisbon? Taxis can be found outside the station, but public transport is also well organized. A nice way to explore the city is for example by subway. The blue line leaves from Santa Apolónia. You can also take the bus to continue your journey from the station. Lisbon also has a streetcar network. Do you want to see more of the beautiful surroundings or the coast? You can easily rent a car in Lisbon from for example InterRent and Avis. As a nice alternative you can rent a bike.

You can buy tickets from ticket offices or ticket machines; there are also an information desk and a waiting room. In addition, you'll find luggage lockers, telephones, ATMs, and facilities for the disabled, like restrooms.
