Car hire São Bento Train Station

General information

Porto is a seaport in the northwest of Portugal, on the Costa Verde. São Bento Station (St. Benedict) is one of the city's two large train stations. São Bento is situated in the center. From Porto Central many trains run to the much busier Campanhã Station in the eastern part of the city. Intercities, high-speed trains, and international trains run from this station. However, if you want to travel north or if you want to go to the Portuguese cities of Braga, Guimarães, Caíde, Régua, Aveiro and Ovar, you have come to the right place at São Bento Station.

Transportation

Do you want to visit the old center or the beautiful coastline? There are many taxis and buses that will take you where you need to go. Porto also has a subway network or you can rent a car. There are several car rental companies nearby.

Services

It's no punishment if you have to wait at São Bento Station. The tiles inside the concourse, with representations from the city's history, are worth one's while. There's an office for questions, lost-and-found objects, and travel information. For public transport tickets you can go to the mobility center, but you can also buy train tickets from ticket machines. In addition, there are luggage lockers, restrooms, and facilities for the disabled.

Shops

At São Bento Station there are for example a souvenir shop and a kiosk selling reading materials like magazines and newspapers as well as snacks.
