General information

Annecy Train Station was built in 1866. It's the terminus of the TGV line Paris Gare de Lyon - Annecy. The city is located in the Haute-Savoie department against the background of the Alps, in the southeast of France. Annecy lies 35 kilometers from Geneva on a big lake (Lac d’Annecy). Because of the many small channels and the Thiou River, which runs straight through the city and the medieval Palais de l’Ile, you imagine yourself in Venice.

Transportation

Taxis from the company Annecy Taxis can be found on the station square. Dial 04 50 45 05 67 to call a taxi. Several buses stop in front of the station. There are also various possibilities to rent a car in Annecy. You can find several car rental companies on level 1 of the station and opposite the station. You can also rent bikes at Annecy Station with the company Velonecy (Tel. 04 50 51 38 90). Bikes are rented out on the left side when leaving the station, on the Rue de l'Industrie. There's a parking facility underneath the train station.

Services

There's an information desk inside the concourse. Besides travel information and a lost-and-found office there's a special service for disabled travelers. The station also has luggage trolleys, restrooms, ATMs, phone booths, mailboxes, a passport photo booth, and photocopiers.

Restaurants

To strengthen the inner man there's Restaurant l'Alizee. The restaurant is open from 6 a.m. - 8 p.m. L'Alizee opens half an hour later on Sundays and holidays.

Shops

You can find a Relay kiosk on level 1 of the train station. This international chain has a large selection of magazines, newspapers, books, snacks, etc.

Opening hours of the station are from 4.30 a.m. until 9 p.m.
