Biarritz Airport services three cities in the southwest of France and is therefore called Biarritz - Anglet - Bayonne Airport in full. It's not only the gateway to the beaches on the Atlantic coast, but also to the western Pyrenees and the Spanish Basque Country.
The airport is situated 5 kilometers southeast of downtown Biarritz and 7 kilometers southwest of Bayonne. There's no direct train connection with the airport, but buses run to the train stations of Biarritz and Bayonne. Once a day, a bus runs to San Sebastián in Spain. Directly south of the airport lies freeway A63 and the airport is therefore easily reachable by car.
The airport doesn't have a large number of shops and restaurants. There is however a Quicksilver shop which sells windsurfing gear. In the terminal there's a VIP lounge and there are also two meeting rooms. Hotel Campanile on the verge of the airport also has a meeting room, but for extensive business facilities you need to turn to the hotels in the center of Biarritz. Other facilities at Biarritz Airport include ATMs, and wireless internet.
In the aviation industry Biarritz Airport is indicated by the abbreviations BIQ (IATA airport code) and LFBZ (ICAO airport code).
