The airport's full name is Lyon-Saint Exupéry Airport. The airport is located 20 kilometres to the east of Lyon in Colombier-Saugnieu. There are two terminals that are connected by the central shopping and service area. There is also a shuttle bus between the two terminals. Lyon Airport processes some 6.5 passengers a year, which makes it the fourth airport in France. Within walking distance of the terminal building there is a TGV station. Work is ongoing on a fast tram/metro connection to the centre of Lyon. In addition, the airport is easy to reach by car and bus.
