Car hire Gare de Lyon-Perrache

General information

Lyon Perrache is Lyon's second train station in the Perrache district. The only TGV line which still calls at Lyon Perrache, is a direct connection with Paris Gare de Lyon. The station dates back to 1855, but the old front of the station has paled into insignificance between all the buildings and the streetcar and subway stations, which have been constructed in front of the station. The station is located on an island which is encircled by the Rhône and Saône Rivers.

Transportation

Lyon's city buses leave opposite the station. Take the footbridge at the exit 'Porte Carnot'. Regional buses also leave here. Eurolines, a European bus company serving many destinations, also uses this bus station as its point of departure. Lyon has two streetcar lines. Both stop inside the streetcar station opposite Lyon Perrache Train Station. It only takes a few minutes by subway to reach Lyon's city center.

You can also rent a car at Lyon Perrache Station. There are four car rental companies: Hertz, Avis, Europcar, and National. You can also rent bikes throughout Lyon.

Services

The station has Wi-Fi and an AED and is equipped for the disabled. There are also a waiting room and a meeting point for travelers.

On the footbridge connecting the station and the subway station you'll find a buffet restaurant/bar and a takeout restaurant.

Shops

There's a Relay kiosk which sells magazines, newspapers, and books on the footbridge between the station and the subway station.
