Car hire Moutiers Station

General information

Moûtiers-Salins-Brides-les-Bains Station has been operational since 1893. Moûtiers is situated in the French department of Savoie in the Rhône-Alpes region. It's the access point to the popular ski resort Les Trois Vallées. This also explains why several high-speed trains call at this station, even though it's not on a high-speed rail line. The TGV brings you from Paris Gare de Lyon, the Eurostar runs from London St. Pancras and during winter months the Thalys runs from Amsterdam and Brussels to Moûtiers.

Transportation

Do you want to explore the surroundings? Taxis are available in front of the station. You don't need to make a reservation. If you want to continue your journey by public transport, it's best to take the bus. The region of Savoie has set up the Belle Savoie Express for this purpose. These buses take you into the mountains, both in summer and in winter. They leave from the bus station in front of Moûtiers Station. The station was built for the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville.

Opposite Moûtiers Station you can rent a car with Avis, which is closed on Sundays. When picking up or returning the car outside office hours, you can return or collect the key with the manager of the train station.

Services

There are waiting rooms. Restrooms can be found in the lobby of the bus station. There are also luggage trolleys, phone booths, a mailbox, passport photo booths, SNCF and TER ticket offices, and a ticket machine.

Restaurants

In the hall between the train and the bus station there's a restaurant, which is closed from May until November. The city center, where you can find more restaurants and bars, is at walking distance.

Shops

There's a Relay kiosk in the hall between the train and the bus station. Here you buy the latest editions of (international) newspapers, magazines, and books.
