“Great great service!”
“Great great service!”
“Very easy site to negotiate and competitive prices.”
“"I was a bit critical after some negative reports about fobbing off with additional insurances etc. Positive experience with customer-friendly website, efficient pick up and drop off and price (Being an intermediary, EasyTerra obviously has no direct influence on the service provided locally)."”
The airport is officially called Ioannis Kapodistrias International Airport, but it is often simply referred to as Corfu Airport or Kerkyra Airport. The airport is located about three kilometres to the south of Corfu-City. During the summer, the airport is very busy, because of the many chartered flights. Especially on Mondays and Fridays. The terminal building is to small to handle all the passengers. Sometimes people who are leaving have to wait outside.
There is only one road from the airport to Corfu City, which means the city is easy to reach from the airport. The bus will take you directly to the bus terminal in the city. There are no hotels at the airport, but there are plenty of hotels and holiday resorts all over the island.
There are a limited number of facilities at the airport: some (snack) bars, cafés and shops, with fairly high prices. There are no business facilities, but there are ATM machines. Also, there is an exchange office, a bank and a small post office. Keep in mind that, especially during the busy season, it may take a while for your luggage to arrive.
In the aviation industry Corfu International Airport is indicated with the abbreviations CFU (IATA airport code) and LGKR (ICAO airport code).
