I have been using EasyTerra for nearly all my car bookings over the last 8 years and have never been disappointed.
Overall a good experience
Overall a good experience, although a very long wait to collect the car. It seems that most booking agencies send clients to Ilha Verde, and this was apparent as there were 20 people in the line to collect vehicles, and no one in any of the other rental companies lines.
Smooth and easy
Smooth and easy. I got told by the rental company to use their full cover, otherwise I would have to pay them up front in case of a damage to the car, and then claim the money from easyterra. So I ended up adding the full cover directly from the rental conpany which was quite expensive. If it wouldn't work like that it would all be even smoother.

No issues with the car at all
No issues with the car at all, picked up in Lisbon and returned to Porto- which was hard to find. It would help people to know in advance their office for returns is on the railway platform.

Worked with Easyterra as a 3rd party broker to rent a car with IlhaVerde company on Sao Miguel, Azores and with Hertz on Pico, Azores.
Procedures were easy, and there were no issues with rent-a -car companies.
I had no trouble with the cars, so there was no need to contact any support.

Rented a car from them in the Azores (Ponta Delgada), adequate staff on hand. I agree to change my car (at their prompting) to a diesel motor. That change cost me an upfront 3 euro/day fee, plus a new pending charge of approximately $1300.00 US on my credit card (even though I'd already paid for another car.) The car was great - Renault 4dr. Even though diesel was cheaper on the island, I don't think the total cost was offset, though I enjoyed / needed the extra power of a standard shift. I was annoyed by the fact that it took nearly 3 weeks after the rental return for my $1300 US pending charge to clear from my credit card.
Easy, but at the end more expensive than expected.
Ordering,one car and also cancelling this care and reordering two other cars was really easy. However upon retrieving the car from Budget Car Rental, there were some extra costs involved that were not known in advance, and also the necessity of these costs were not known, or clearly explained on location.
Therefore it would be better if these costs could be decided on at time of ordering at EasyTerra, instead of making some split-second decisions upon retrieval of the car. Costs I am talking about concern
- fuel (we were "forced" to take the pay in advance, so you don't have to return with a full fuel tank - however we just drove 200km, so the tank was still 70% full;
- toll membership for 7 days. However we never drove on a toll-motorway;
- extra driver - I ordered two cars on name of the actual drivers, however because I paid with the same creditcard, I had to pay for an extra driver: the one on the credit card - strange.
I think I can say that the actual costs of both cars was about 180 euros more than I expected, due to those unexpected extra, but unnecessary costs.
I think Budget Car lease is to blame, because at Hertz we never had this kind of negative experience. Next time, it's gonna be Hertz again. Although it may look on first sight more expensive compared to Budget Car, I think that in the end it will be less expensive.

What do I need to do when picking up a car?
To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.
Are there any additional costs?
In general, our rates are all-inclusive. Should there be any additional costs, our booking department will get in touch with you before issuing the invoice. Should you object, you can always cancel your reservation with no obligations attached (at least 48 hours in advance).
What kind of insurance is applicable to my car rental?
In general, Liability Insurance, Fire Insurance, All-Risks Insurance and Theft Insurance are included in the cost of your rental car.
What is a worry-free label?
This label indicates that a rental car satisfies the following requirements: Unlimited kilometers, no excess liability (and no excess cover available), sustainable energy policy, and that the car rental company has a good reputation. Availability of cars satisfying these four requirements will speed up the selection of a suitable vehicle for you.
How can I change or cancel my reservation?
You can cancel your reservation through "My Account". We recommend contacting us by phone if your changes to your booking or cancellation takes place at short notice (48 hours or less).
When will I get a confirmation of my booking?
Most reservations will receive confirmation within minutes after payment takes place. We recommend contacting our Booking Department for last minute reservations (pick-up within 48 hours).
