London City Airport in a nutshell
London City Airport is the youngest of the airports around London. It was opened in 1987 and it is located in the eastern part of the city. The airport is growing steadily and it now processes about two million passengers a year, primarily business travellers.
There is an automatic subway system connecting the airport with, among other places, the Docklands. After the arrival of this network, the shuttle bus was terminated, but there are still two local bus connections to and from the airport.
