Car hire Rennes Station

General information

Rennes is the capital of Brittany in the western part of France. Rennes Station is situated on the Place de la Gare in the city center. From Paris Montparnasse it takes 2 hours by train to Rennes. From Rennes, you can travel further west by TGV, to for example Brest and Nantes.

Transportation

Do you want to stay in the surroundings of Rennes? There are two taxi stands, one at the northern exit and one at the southern exit. All of Rennes' city buses stop around Place de la Gare. For intercity buses you need to go to the bus station via the northern exit. There's also an underground subway station on the JF Kennedy - Potterie line near the station.

You can easily rent a car in Rennes to further explore the city and the west coast of France. Take the northern exit and after 50 meters you'll see the car rental companies Avis, Budget, Hertz, National, and Europcar on your right.

Services

There's an information desk for information about the city and traveling inside the concourse. There are also first and second class waiting rooms and a fast internet connection via Wi-Fi. In addition, there are a lost-and-found desk, restrooms, ATMs, phone booths, a passport photo booth, a machine to print your photos, a photocopier, and an AED.

Restaurants

There are several restaurants (including a pancake restaurant), bars, and takeout restaurants. If you have more time, you can find various restaurants opposite the northern exit, where you can have a quiet dinner.

Shops

At the station there are a flower shop, a Relay kiosk selling newspapers and magazines, and a drugstore.
