Location information for Perugia Station

General information

Perugia Train Station, or in Italian Stazione di Perugia Fontivegge, is the main station of the city and of the region of Umbria. Trains run to RomeFlorence and Arezzo, but there are also local trains to Assisi, Gubbio, Spello, and Orvieto. The station was inaugurated in 1866 and is located on the Piazza Vittorio Veneto, a few kilometers from the city center.

Transportation

Do you want to visit the historical center or the surroundings of this college town? You can take a taxi, but buses also leave regularly from the Piazza Italia to the center. The new Perugia Minimetrò is a quick and easy way to visit this hilly city. These small unmanned trains go back and forth. There's a stop at a hundred meters from the station. You can, however, also easily rent a car in Perugia. There are several car rental companies including Hertz and BCO-RentaCar.

Services

The impressive ticket office is open daily from 6.30 a.m. until 12.50 p.m. and from 1.20 p.m. until 8.10 p.m., but you can also buy tickets from ticket machines all day. Do you have to wait a long time? There's an ample waiting room and you can admire the statues and mosaics inside the concourse.
