Location information for Paris Gare de Lyon Station
General information
Paris Gare de Lyon is one of the largest stations in Paris. From here high-speed trains depart for the southeast of France. The station was purpose-built for the world's fair of 1900 and has a characteristic clock tower of 65 meters high.
Transportation
Taxi stands can be found at several locations around the station, the largest one being on the Rue de Bercy. RATP city buses stop around Gare de Lyon on the Rue de Bercy, the Boulevard Diderot, and near the 'Place Louis Garmand' exit. If you want to go to the Eiffel Tower, you need to take line 87. Take line 91 if you need to go to Gare Montparnasse. Air France shuttle buses also run from the station to both airports: Orly and Charles de Gaulle. They run every 30 minutes between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m.
The Gare de Lyon subway station can be found on level -2. Lines 14 (St. Lazare - Olympiades) and 1 (Château de Vincennes - La Défense) stop here. If you need to change for Gare du Nord, you have to take the RER. Lines D and A pass through the subway station. If you need to change for Gare du Nord, you need to take line D. Or do you prefer to rent a car in Paris? You'll find a large number of car rental companies on level -1. You can for example choose from Avis, Hertz, Europcar, and National. Bikes can be rented in the Rue de Bercy.
