General information

Paris Gare du Nord is France's largest station and with 180 million passengers annually one of the busiest stations in the world. From here, TGVs leave for the north of France, the Eurostar runs to London via the Channel Tunnel, and the Thalys as well as several night trains run to GermanyBelgium and the Netherlands.

When travelling from the Netherlands and Belgium you always arrive in Paris at the Gare du Nord. You often need to change. Here you'll find a description as to how to change from Gare du Nord.

Gare de Lyon - RER line D in the direction of Corbeil Essones.
Austerlitz - subway line 5 in the direction of Place d'Italie.
Est - subway line 4 in the direction of Porte d’Orléans.
Montparnasse - subway line 4 in the direction of Porte d’Orléans.
St. Lazare - RER line E in the direction of Boulevard Haussmann / St. Lazare.

The entrance to the subway and RER is clearly signposted inside the concourse. If you are travelling to Paris with the Thalys, you can already buy your subway/RER tickets in the café cars.

Transportation

Do you want to explore Paris? The taxi stand is located next to the station near the Eurostar trains. You can reserve a taxi inside the concourse. Paris' city buses stop around the station. The subway and RER stop underneath Gare du Nord. You can also rent a car at Gare du Nord. The car rental companies can be found at the 'cour des taxis' on the side of the station on level -1. You can choose from the car rental companies Avis, Hertz, National, and Europcar.

Services

The station has information desks for all trains (TGV, RER, Thalys, Eurostar, etc.). The station also has Wi-Fi, a lost-and-found desk, an information desk for tourists, a police station, lockers, restrooms and showers, an exchange office, a bank, ATMs, and passport photo booths.

Restaurants

There's plenty of choice at Gare du Nord. You can have a sumptuous dinner, or get a quick bite to eat at one of the many takeout restaurants. There are also three chocolate shops, a deli for connoisseurs, and for dessert there's a Häagen-Dazs shop.

There are several shops including a flower shop, boutiques for men, women, and children, accessories shops, kiosks, a tobacconist, drugstores, and a pharmacy.
